ABSTRACT
The project work concentrated on the professional role of continuity announcer in ensuring success of broadcast station in this jet age with a case study of OSBC, Osogbo. The work of continuity announcer has serious impact on the success and failure of broadcasting stations, if continuity announcer is very effective and knows his/her onions the broadcast station will be able to compete favourable with other rival stations but if it is the opposite the station will surfer its consequences. Without doubt continuity announcer is the backbone and live wire in the day to day of keeping the broadcast station on air with meaningful programme that will prevent audience from flow-out of station while it design programme scheduling strategies that will facilitate flow-in of the audience other rival stations. The researcher adopted survey method coupled with questionnaire to collect necessary data from the selected respondents.
