The purpose of the study was to undertake a critical analysis of teachers’ communication skills and effective teaching and learning in primary schools in Odeda Local Government area of Ogun State. Thus, a descriptive survey research design was adopted for the study. The population for this study comprised of all primary school teacher in Odeda Local Government Area of Ogun State, while a total of 100 teachers were random selected across the public school to serve as the sample of the study. A self constructed questionnaire titled Teachers’ Communication skill and effective teaching and learning questionnaire was the instrument used to gather relevant data for the study. However, three research hypothesis were postulated and analysed using the mathematically method. The study reveal that teacher communication skill is very essential for the successful of teaching and learning in primary school education. Also the teacher should make use of relevant material for effective teaching and learning process, likewise for effective communication skills teacher should be able to control the wise factor arises around the school environment. The teacher should be well good in communication during teaching and learning process for effective teaching and excellent performance of students. Hence, it is recommends that government should endeavour to make educational finance for the provision of different educational infrastructure facilities and equipments especially provision of communication equipments.
