ABSTRACT

The need to improve the UBA profitability cannot be over emphasized having in mind that they operate in an industry filled with completion both institution and inter-bank. The study examined the contribution of public relations towards the patronage and growth of bank. The findings revealed that the UBA public relation activities have led to the fast building reputation for satisfactory banking services which has been characterized by the introduction of Saturday banking services at all the branches. The outcome of the analysis of the data collected from the research work showed that from formulated hypothesis were in line with UBA from public relations activities that not withstanding, the following observations were made in nutshell. 
1.    The published materials such as diaries, calendars and other gift items are being shared within the management and staff of the bank.
2.    Opportunity for training of public relation personnel are not provided and there are sample incentive for promotion.
3.    The question of “god father within the organization has been eradicated or discourage by public relations department of UBA, the stigma have continued together
