ABSTRACT
This project work is aimed to reveal the usefulness of computer usage is Banking Industry. The Bank which it’s function is to receive money, collect drafts, and cheque need more attention than it has been given, to do this, thus it is important for an organisation to have a strong control of its banking operations and employ the most effective and accurate method of controlling it.
Besides, in Nigerian banking, the operation has been manually operated which brings a set back such as inaccurately in its operation. It has been realized that much faster, accurate, effective and efficient system can be adopted.

1.0 INTRODUCTION
The computer has become a tool that is used in one way or the other in virtually all fields of human endeavour. To those who are not very familiar with it or who are not very familiar with it or who have never used it. The computer means different things. It is a tool specifically made for computer for computable problems.
Besides, the electronic computer was developed in this century and has given birth to a new field of endeavour know as information technology (I.T). In combination with telecommunication devices, the computer is functionally reducing the world to a global electronic village of data and information.
Nevertheless, the increasing volumes of transaction they deal with, banks have full embraced the use f computers to enhance their efficiently.
This project is designed to acquaint the reader with the computer and its usefulness in Banking Industry.
